Suiter.io
We offer a platform that lets customers subscribe to bundled apps built by independent developers. By offering developers a place to showcase their work and sell their products on a subscription basis and within app bundles/suites, we're helping them to build their reputation, reach their target audience, and monetize their products. At the same time, we're offering customers a marketplace that provides them with access to creative and tailored solutions at a competitive price. Suiter.io is a win-win.
In addition to offering suites from individual developers, Suiter.io also allows developers to work together and build app bundles. This unique feature enables professionals to work together and offer customers a more comprehensive and complete solution. It's another way that Suiter.io is revolutionizing the marketplace.
Suiter.io is the perfect alternative for all of your other subscriptions combined into one monthly fee. Our platform is designed to help everyone reach their goals, and we can't wait for you to join us.
The Idea
As a developer and a designer, I know how it feels to put your heart and soul into creating something truly unique and innovative, only for it to go unnoticed by potential clients. It's a frustrating experience that I've faced time and time again, leaving me wondering how I can get my work in front of the right people. I believe there's a real need for a platform that can help professionals like me present our work, connect with other like-minded individuals, and even sell our products in the form of individual suites or bundled packages. Such a platform would be a game-changer for us, providing the exposure and recognition we deserve while also helping us build our networks and make a living doing what we love.
The Research
In order to back up our idea, we needed to speak to real independent developers who were looking to monetize their digitals tools and content for their followers-turned-customers to purchase. We found that most of these developers used existing email newsletter tools to register their customers for a recurring subscription to their platform—an interesting use-case for the problem space.
Developers have a current solution, but it cuts some corners
The problem with this model is that it lacks a centralized platform for independent developers to showcase their work, collaborate with others, and reach a broader audience. By relying on individual email newsletters and subscriptions, developers are limited in their ability to gain exposure and attract new customers.
Moreover, this fragmented approach can be inconvenient and overwhelming for customers who are interested in using multiple tools or services from different developers. They may find themselves managing numerous subscriptions and struggling to keep track of their expenses and access to various platforms.
There’s no consolidated marketplace for these developers
Our research also revealed that many independent developers struggle to find the right pricing model for their products. Some resort to offering their tools for free, hoping to build a loyal user base, while others charge high prices that may deter potential customers. Without a standardized platform that provides insights into market trends and customer preferences, developers often lack the data necessary to make informed decisions about pricing and product offerings.
The Dashboard
This is a preview of our Dashboard view, where users can see all of the current applications included in their specific suites within their overall Suiter.io subscription (1 subscription plan for all of your suites and the apps within each one). Once logged in, users can see the apps within their suite in one view along with their notifications, bookmarks, and new app recommendations on the right and quick access to all of their suites through the left menu bar.
The Marketplace
In addition to the Dashboard view, users can shop for new suites and build their own app bundles in the Marketplace tab of the web app. We take a user-specific approach to the Marketplace screen organization (think of Amazon’s recommended product lists). Eventually, we hope to establish more categories for users to shop by, similar to the Apple App Store layout but with subscriptions rather than single applications.
The Business Model
Suiter.io's revenue model is centered around search ads paid for by developers and upgraded cloud storage plans paid for by users. The platform doesn't charge customers or developers for transactions, instead focusing on connecting them and facilitating mutually beneficial relationships. This approach allows developers to monetize their products and tap into a broader market, while customers enjoy discounted app bundles and SSO access, all designed to boost productivity.
Project Outcomes
Something new I learned... Once you find a problem that other people have too, you’ll find greater reason to explore possible solutions.
My favorite part was... I loved collaborating with my teammates on a project that we all really wanted to build
My biggest challenge… I struggled to motivate myself to reiterate and change our MVP because I had the mindset of a perfectionist rather than a designer. Moving forward, I’d like to give myself more space to bring new ideas to the table, even if they’re not perfect.
